Caruana French Winawer Win

French Defence leads to unbalanced play in material, strategy, and tactics. Aleksandr Lenderman as Black sent his queen on a journey to a5, a4, e4, and g6 in 15 moves. Fabiano Caruana as White lined up two bishops and crashed through with a winning attack. Black's well-traveled queen was lost. Caruana performed well, finished second, and raised his rating. Samuel Shankland played great and won the US Championship.
